Long Standing Volunteer Retires from Indus
Being a volunteer is not just about freely undertaking tasks, it’s about offering your service to agencies and other organizations – with your heart and soul and the intentions of helping others. One of our volunteers, Mohini Sareen has been volunteering with Indus Community Services for almost 20+ years across various programs including: “Friendly Visiting” and our “Adult Day Program”. She is known for her dedication and her amazing personality that has served as an inspiration to clients, volunteers and staff. Her hard work has not gone unnoticed, and with 20+ years of service, Mohini ji has decided to retire from her volunteer position.
To celebrate her retirement, our agency hosted a virtual farewell party with over 40+ participants on Tuesday, August 25, 2020. Our CEO Gurpreet Malhotra, volunteers, clients and other staff who have worked alongside our lovely volunteer had many great sentiments to share. Moreover, Gurpreet announced that Indus Community Services will be naming the 415 Matheson lounge after Mohini ji, in honour of her great service. Details regarding the naming to follow in the coming weeks.
We are extremely grateful for the many years of dedicated service Mohinji Sareen has offered our agency. We wish her all the best in all her future endeavours.
Here’s to Mohinji and to the many lives she has inspired.
